Automotive : HVAC : Comfort Sensing

For climate control systems Melexis is involved in virtually every domain that involves communication with the ECU. We introduced IR temperature sensing as a more accurate and cost-effective alternative for measuring body temperature. (Instead of measuring a sample of the air, our IR modules measure directly the body temperature. Its digital sensor interface allowed us to solve the traditional burdens of reliability and design complexity to use IR technology in cars.) Furthermore Melexis has a wide experience in HVAC with brushless DC Motor driver ICs, several driver ICs for HVAC actuator flaps, fan controllers, magnetic (Hall) valve position sensor ICs, pressure sensor ICs, pressure sensor interface ICs and LIN transceivers and MCUs to interface with the LIN sub bus.
