The Omnipolar ® Hall Effect Switch

How Does It Work?

The Omnipolar Hall Effect Switch is a digital semiconductor device that is activated in the presence of a magnetic field, either North or South pole. The device is normally OFF (not conducting). When a magnetic field of sufficient strength (North or South pole) is brought near the device it will change its state, turn ON and conduct. It will remain ON until the magnetic field is reduced to a specified threshold. The switch points are accurate and repeatable. Press the START button below to see how it works.
