MLX81200 flyer
The MLX81200 is a highly integrated 3 phase motor controller for 12V automotive applications.
Its TruSense and SineDrive technologies enable Sensorless motor control in a wide range of demanding applications.
SineDrive controls the motor current to get the best efficiency with lowest torque ripple and minimized conducted and radiated missions.
TruSense combines reluctance measurement with BEMF sensing for detection and tracking of the rotor position in harsh environments under heavily changing load conditions. This allows a very fast motor start-up and possible operation at very low speeds.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Reliable operation under dynamic load conditions and fast start up are important for ‘On-Demand’ pumps like fuel, oil and water pumps. Furthermore the motor speed can be reduced to the minimum to keep the pumps running at minimum power for start-stop applications.
The torque ripple and EMC emissions can be optimized through trapezoidal or sinewave ‘custom shaping’ of the motor current. This is important for engine cooling fans and HVAC blowers and for remote motors.
Its high integration and high temperature qualification make the MLX81200 also the ideal solution for integrating the control electronics inside the BLDC motor and in the engine environment. The MLX81200 is therefore also an ideal fit for sensored applications like electrically actuated clutches.
