Radio Frequency Identification
Radio Frequency Identification can be used for Non-Contact Non-Powered asset identification. A Non-Powered receiver is attached to an asset. A transmitter emits an electromagnetic field. When the receiver is within working distance of the transmitter it is powered up by the electromagnetic field. Asset information stored in the transmitter is then transferred to the receiver via radio waves. Press the START button below to see how it works.
