MLX80103 General Description
The MLX80103 LIN Switch Slave can be used to interface with any door, roof, seat, steering wheel, dashboard, HVAC, light control or similar switch module. The integration of LIN physical layer, voltage regulator and integrated application IO’s results in a reduction in component cost. The integration of LIN controller and the set of predefined LIN identifiers make switch modules speak LIN in no time.
Incorporating the Melexis LIN transceiver Physical layer that is now approved by and in use with most car manufacturers today, Melexis LIN ASSPs guarantee state of the art physical layer qualification results. The LIN protocol handler meets the current LIN 2.0 standard and can be easily extended for future LIN 2.1. In close collaboration with car manufacturers Melexis defines the configuration settings of the ASSPs to assure a straightforward fit across different applications and car platforms. This IC is a fully integrated LIN Slave for matrix switch or single switch Applications in automotive environment. It is suitable for bus systems according to LIN 2.X.

In reading the datasheet for MLX80103 I have a question. It says that it can go to sleep with a closed switch at sw1.x. Is it possible to, when in matrix mode, get a wake up from the opening of the closed switch? Or from the closing of another switch in the same column as the already closed switch?
Answer
As you already read in the datasheet for the MLX80103, it is possible to go sleep mode with ONE closed SW1.x switch, if you need local wake up capability. In this case if you want to wake up the module using the switch SW1.x inputs, it is only possible when you open this closed switch. As long as one switch is closed when the MLX80103 is going to sleep mode, it's not possible to wake up the module using the other switches.

No, as long as one switch is closed you can only wake up the module when you open this switch.
