ActiveLight sensor interface - MLX75030

Product description

The MLX75030 ActiveLight sensor interface is ideally suited for proximity and simple "air gesture" sensing. Built-in background light suppression and programmable operation and diagnostics over SPI, allow integration in any environment with minimal development time.

The MLX75030 is optimized for ActiveLight measurements on two independent channels A and B. Each channel can control an external LED while sensing the reflected light via an external photodiode.

The ActiveLight detection is virtually independent from background light by means of integrated hardware-level ambient light suppression.

Any LED, any photodiode

The MLX75030 offers great flexibility in the placement and selection of external components.

Each customer can optimize their design with their own selection of LED and photodiode, hereby allowing specific sensing range and/or viewing angle, while maintaining superior background light robustness.
