Melexis Environmental Program

Environmental diligence is an integral part of the Melexis policy. This is based on four disciplines:

• Sustainable development – development of products and processes that have a minimum effect on the quality environment today and in the future
• Prevention is better than cure – prevention is of utmost importance
• The total effect of the environment counts – embodied in the development of products whose production (including energy use), operation and disposal at end-of-live have minimum adverse effects on the environment
• Open contact with authorities and customers

Commitment to this four principles leads to specific objectives and targets and
to the allocation of capacity. Programmes and progress are reviewed annually.

Certification of the Environmental Management System

Melexis has an Environmental Management System which has been certified according to ISO 14001 at major sites. All relevant sites are following the
global environmental program.
