Project Description: (5-6 months)

With the growing expectations of the autonomous car and the increase of electronic systems in new vehicles, the functional safety becomes a major concern for semiconductor companies acting in the automotive market. Melexis wants to take advantage of this opportunity, thus is looking for an intern to improve the functional safety of its embedded CPUs. Integrated into the Melexis Paris team, you will be in charge of developing a genetic algorithm based solution to generate an optimal self-checking program for embedded CPUs. This solution must be applicable to different kind of CPUs used at melexis, use inputs from different application contexts and be optimized regarding the generation and execution times.
