Your future job
As System Engineer at Melexis, you take an expert position in the Power Electronics product line. You understand the evolving market trend to Electrical Vehicles, and reflect the customer needs into the roadmap of Melexis, by specifying the system requirements for new product definitions, and follow-up later the system integration and validation plans, based on your expert application and electronics knowledge in the domain of High Voltage Motor Driving controller IC’s. You will closely interact and cooperate with the Business Unit, with customers and OEM’s.
More specifically, you will
Based on the network of key lead customers in the market, in the US,Europe and Asia, with the support of the sales team, consolidate a complete set of requirements, targeting first time right design of cost effective motor control integrated circuits (IC’s).
Based on in-depth market trend analysis, knowledge of the competitive landscape, and leveraging the unique offerings of Melexis, you will support the product line manager in the long term roadmap definition.
Together with the development team architects (IC design, package development, process & test, …), you will run the technical feasibilities to execute the roadmap in an efficient way, maximizing the return on investment, revenue and profit.
You will apply good system engineering practices to explore new concepts, that might include behavioural modelling to validate the technical solution.
You will define the strategy to validate the new products according to the customer and market requirements, and your willdrive the system integration and application engineering teams in the validation and market introduction of new products.
You will boost innovation through collaboration with universities, silicon fabs and institutes to define the technology and architectures of the future.
Based on your expert market and application knowledge, you will maximize Intellectual Property through an active patent development policy.
You have an Academic Master degree or PhD in Electronic Engineering, with strong background in High Voltage or Power Electronics.
You are knowledgeable in Motor Control, and familiar with steering Electrical Vehicles.
Fluency in English is a must.
You understand semiconductor technologies, and you have experience with state-of-the-art IC design practices, in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
You have profound knowledge of the requirements of a production environment.
You have relevant working experience in International Industry.
You are willing to travel abroad, with medium intensity.
