For unit testing, tests are automated using Test-Driven Development principles (test scenarios written on the Cucumber platform, automated using Selenium and integrated in our Gitlab-CI pipelines for deploying the software). For integration and functional testing, not everything can be automated. The necessary complementary manual tests should be integrated as much as possible with the test scenarios written in Cucumber, with the related software releases,... just like the automated tests are.
The purpose of this project is (1) to foresee a methodology to maximise the test coverage for integrated software modules in an microservices and event based architecture, and (2) to maximise the integration of manual tests with the Cucumber platform, software releases, Jira,... via an existing tool, own development or a combination of both.
