Your future job

As a Global Trade Professional in Melexis, you will support shipping and receiving in all Melexis sites. You will work together with your shipping, global trade and finance colleagues around the world to prepare and complete the necessary customs, statistical and export control formalities in an accurate, timely and pragmatic way.

More specifically, you will

  • Prepare and complete the necessary customs and export control documents and formalities for the transport and clearance of inbound and outbound manufacturing and non-manufacturing goods
  • Support with the customs and export control classifications and with the determination of the origin of goods
  • Monitor and maintain the integrity of logistic, customs and export control data in Melexis’ systems
  • Prepare and complete various periodical returns and declarations, such as customs, statistical and export control declarations, to be filed with the competent authorities
  • Prepare and support with the request and follow-up of customs and export control licences
  • Support stakeholders in case of deviations, escalations, emergencies and irregularities on global trade topics
  • Maintain a professional relationship with customs authorities, customs agents and logistic partners, as well as with local shipping responsibles around the world
  • Support training of Melexis staff on logistic, customs and other global trade topics
  • Document and maintain best practices, in line with international quality, business and AEO standards.
  • Report to Melexis’ Global Manager VAT, Customs & Export Control with a dotted line to the Bulgarian Finance Manager

Your profile

  • University degree in International Transport, Customs and Tax Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or another with Economics focus
  • Relevant professional experience (previous administrative experience in international logistics or Customs environment is a plus)
  • Eager to earn new customs, export control and statistical compliance skills
  • Ability to work independently within a global multicultural environment
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Fluent in English both verbal and written; additional foreign language will be considered as an advantage
