To support the company in its fast growth and data transformation, the Core Business Solutions  team is looking for a BI & MDM Analyst.


As a BI & MDM Analyst, you will be joining the data team that is responsible for the design and implementation of the data architecture within Melexis. Your direct colleagues will be analysts and data engineers.  You will also closely work together with various business stakeholders and power users.


You will help define and implement the transformation towards a BI self-service environment, particularly you will:

 

  • Support establishment of the BI roadmap,
  • Set up best practices and guidelines related to data visualisations,
  • Act as administrator of the BI platform,
  • Develop BI solutions,
  • Form a close collaboration loop with various business teams,
  • Provide training and guidance for the BI power users.

 

You will help expanding the data culture within the company through MDM, particularly you will:

 

  • Define and model cross-domain key data elements,
  • Drive processes with the aim of elevating the overall usefulness of data (data quality, data discovery, etc.),
  • Maintain a data KPI framework regarding quality, usage over different domains, 
  • Administrate data catalog,
  • Document company’s business rules on data elements.

 

You will be in charge of  the front-end data projects, particularly you will:

 

  • Collect, analyse and consolidate business requirements related to data processing and reporting,
  • Translate business requirements into a functional design,
  • Collaborate with business and IT architects to establish a closed loop between process, application and data,
  • Advocate and promote data services ensuring visibility throughout the organization.

 

Your profile

 

  •  You have a master degree in IT or Commercial Engineering (or equivalent by experience) with preferably 3+ years of experience in a similar analyst / BI environment role.
  •  You are a bridge builder between business and IT, with thorough business insight.
  •  You are able to see the broad picture and broader connections, and you can filter out the details where needed.
  •  You can challenge the business on their needs and priorities.
  •  You are proficient in data storytelling.
  •  A practical knowledge of and experience with BI tools like Tableau, Qlik, Spotfire is vital.
  •  You have a first experience with MDM and data catalog.
  •  You can read a logical data model and translate business needs into a functional design.
  •  Advised to have some basic knowledge of SQL and Python and/or willing to learn.
  •  Good communication skills in English are required.
  •  You are a passionate person, who is result, customer and quality oriented.
