Local HR Officer - Sofia, Bulgaria





Your future job

Your role as a HR Officer will be far from one-dimensional. You’ll undertake a wide range of HR activities with the main focus on personnel administration. The goal is to ensure the HR department operations will be running smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization as a whole. In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Employee relations: Act as a focal point of contact for our employees for all questions related to social legislation, HR policies, ...
  • Drive the administrative implementation of our HR policies and ensure correct and timely execution of the payroll:

    • Ensure correct handling of all Absences (calculation of holidays, documents for illness, parental leave, maternity leave,...)
    • Payroll with related employment law, social security and income tax legislation and HR reporting, HR administration
    • Handles all administration regarding joining and leaving Melexis: contracts (certificates, benefits, checklist processing upon joining and leaving Melexis)
  • Support talent acquisition-related activities
  • Support the implementation of local and global HR projects

Your profile

  • Payroll administration: thorough knowledge of payroll administration in Bulgaria

  • Social legislation: working knowledge on Bulgarian Social legislation with emphasis on employment law, social security and income tax regulations

  • Able to administratively apply compensation and benefits practices
    Excellent administrative accuracy

  • Bachelor or Master degree in HR or equivalent through experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in a dynamic international environment

  • Proficient English language skills

  • Organized, precise, knows how to handle confidential data and facts

  • Proactive, dynamic and a broad interest in HR topics.

  • Outstanding knowledge of MS Office;

  • HRIS systems (Oracle and Cornerstone will be a plus)
