Your future job

As an Associate Field Applications Engineer at Melexis, you will:

  • Use experience in Hall Effect Position and Current Sensors to ensure the relevant technical support to Melexis customers and participate in technical business development

  • Provide technical support by answering technical questions regarding Melexis products, participate in virtual meetings and on-site visits to help promote Melexis products as well as answer technical questions from both customers and our internal sales team
  • Help customers identify and solve technical issues and support the Quality department in the Failure Analysis process when needed. This requires specific lab tools or Melexis proprietary debugging and development hardware/software tools
  • Work on magnetic simulations to help customers design their magnetic circuitry and mechanical system in order to ensure optimal performance of their sensing system
  • Work on electronic demos that showcase the functionalities of our products: develop the basic concept of the demo and circuit board schematics, designing, assembling and debugging the PCB, designing and building the mechanical enclosure together with the PCB, developing the software interface and documenting work in a user-friendly manner
  • Conduct training sessions to the internal sales team and to the Melexis representatives/distributors, support technical exhibitions and seminars
  • Develop well-written documents such as application notes and design guidelines to improve the workflow of customer support. 

Your profile

  • You have a Bachelors degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Microelectronic Engineering or related field and you have experience in supporting application of Hall Effect Magnetic Sensors: 3D Position Sensors, Linear Hall Sensors, Speed Sensors, Switches and Latches Sensors and Current Sensors
  • You have understanding of the IC electronic blocks: Magnetic and Electrical Signal Amplifiers, ADC, DAC, Filters, and Output Drivers to build the bridge between the application and IC functionalities
  • You have knowledge of Automotive Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) robustness and understanding of the influence of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) on semiconductors and sensor output protocols: Analog, PWM, SENT, PSI5, I2C, and SPI
  • You have experience in COMSOL Multiphysics and in utilizing advanced lab equipment
  • You have experience in PCB design using PCB layout tools such as Altium, PCB assembly and debugging and 3D mechanical modeling tools such as SolidWorks
  • You are proficient in .Net including C# and VB, C++, LabVIEW, Python or MATLAB and working with embedded software development for ARM and ATMEL microcontrollers
  • You have experience and familiarity with automotive development stages, manufacturing processes and practices and automotive functional safety ISO 26262
