Your future job

As an intern in continuous improvement department, you will improve the loader capacity by a new mechanical design for our testing handlers.

To guarantee to deliver device (Integrated Circuit) with good quality, we have to test them before sending to customer. We use automatic handler for this: Rasco-1000.

We feed the handler with tubes of chips: between 25 to 80 parts per tube.
Depending of the device (size and test time), the tube loader can get quickly empty. Then, the machine stops and waits that an operator fills the machine. We need to improve the performance of the machine by increase the loader capacity.

Goal is to have a MTBA (Mean Time Between Assistance) of 30 minutes minimum. Constraint related to total height of the system to be considered: an operator (even small size) should be capable to feed the loader easily.

Timing: 8-10 weeks
