Master Thesis_Development and characterization of a novel type of torque sensor - Bevaix, Switzerland
As an intern at Melexis, you will work in partnership with the G2ELab in Grenoble, with the design team of Bevaix (Switzerland) and with the corporate innovation team to explore a novel concept of a torque sensor exploiting a magnetic transducing physical principle. You will need to understand the underlying physics, design the read-out circuit with discrete electronic components, fabricate and characterize a demonstrator.
More specifically, you will:
Build a demonstrator based on discrete components.
Characterize the demonstrator in the lab according to a set of requirements.
Establish the experimental procedure for making the measurements.
Make recommendations for future implementation in an integrated circuit.
Analysis of different read-out circuitries (review relevant key publications)
Schematic of the optimal read-out circuitry
PCB-based demonstrator (PCB design, assembly of discrete components)
Characterization report assessing the performance with respect to a set of requirements
- Good understanding of electronics with some practical experience
- Good understanding of physics (electrodynamics)
- Willing to learn
- Good english skills
