Your future job

As an Account Manager at Melexis, you will support the development of the sales plan in the region to which you are assigned and ensure its implementation.

More specifically, you will

  • Identify and manage business opportunities at existing accounts, car manufacturers, new customers as well as distributors in the region of your assignment

  • Establish and maintain strong network (relationship) with key decision makers at Automotive OEMs in EMEA

  • Animate local offices of Melexis Distributors in EMEA (with promotion tours, joint visits, handover of projects, …)

  • Identify trends / applications and provide information to Melexis product marketing teams to share the automotive-market knowledge (application needs, roadmaps, relationships) of the assigned Automotive OEMs with product lines

  • Contribute into the new product development cycle and new marketing definition

  • Follow technically and commercially the open opportunities and identify at each step of the sales process what or who is needed to move forward

  • Build and expand relationships with key decision makers and influencers within the customer organization

  • Track the closed opportunities in order to feed budget/forecast exercises and identify issues at an early stage, giving active support to other departments during the solution implementation

  • Drive the process of negotiation of various agreements with customers, e.g. yearly pricing agreements,

  • Keep the CRM tools and KPIs updated for the personally assigned customers
    Maintain awareness of competition (position in the market, product development etc.)

Your profile

  • An engineering degree, preferably in electronics

  • Good understanding of sensors & actuators in Automotive industry in the region

  • 5 years of business experience, preferably in a related technical sales experience (automotive electronics or semiconductors)

  • Basic understanding of the IC development process from business case, project kick-off to IC qualification and production 

  • Ability to work with and influence all levels of customer management

  • Experienced in commercial negotiations

  • Fluent in German, effective communication and presentation skills in English

  • Willingness to travel intensively
