Your future job

As an Analog Design Engineer at Melexis, you will contribute to the development of Integrated Circuits (ICs) for the automotive and consumer markets, taking complete ownership of design and documentation activities of analog blocks, as well as supporting other teams until adoption of the final product by the customer. 

Being a part of a multi-disciplinary international project team, more specifically, you will:

  •  Contribute to determining key specifications for new products
  •  Define block level concept and architecture in line with system specification
  • Create block level and top-level schematics and perform the required pre- and post-layout simulations

  • Design, simulate and document a variety of blocks (analog front ends, supply systems, amplifiers, oscillators, ADC, …) for a wide variety of products (embedded motor drivers, actuators, sensor interfaces) according to Melexis automotive processes

  • Work closely with analog layout engineers to jointly achieve the optimal design performance/area

  • Support the mixed signal design engineer with top level simulations to ensure the correct integration of analog, digital and software components

  • Give guidance for modelling of analog blocks

  • Support characterization of prototypes during lab evaluation and debugging of complex ICs incl. review measurement data of fabricated designs in order to contribute to the early identification of deviations and propose solutions

  • Collaborate with the test engineers to ensure that the design can be efficiently and fully tested in production

  • Support application engineers and customers on technical challenges

  • Support of root cause and failure analysis investigations

  • Contribute to analog competence center improvement activities

Your profile

  • An engineering master degree in an electronic or microelectronic field or another relevant field
  • 2-7 years of relevant experience as a analog designer in a microelectronics environment is an asset
  • Solid understanding of analog electronics such as bandgap references, LDO regulators, amplifiers, comparators, ADCs, DACs, VCOs, high power drivers, etc.
  • Knowledge of BCD and CMOS processes and device parasitic
  • Familiar with 6-sigma design practices and good understanding of statistical analysis
  • Hands-on experience with EDA tools, such as Cadence, Synopsis or similar
  • Automotive Functional Safety experience and ISO26262 knowledge is considered a strong advantage
  • Knowledge of ESD/EMC protection design techniques and measurement standards is a plus
  • Familiar with technical risk assessment and the FMEA process is a plus
  • Knowledge of Verilog A/AMS modeling is considered a plus
