Your future job

As an Applications Engineer at Melexis you will ensure the relevant technical support to Melexis customers in the innovative world of DC/BLDC motor control solutions. Your tasks will include the development of software and hardware applications as well as all the necessary documentation and supporting tools for advanced mechatronic designs. 

More specifically, you will support the full path from the first demo to production at customer side, together with Melexis Sales team, IC design teams, and field application engineers

• Provide technical support in hardware and software to customers from the design-in to the industrialization of our ICs

• Develop Embedded SW and algorithms for automotive motor control applications 

• Create reference PCB designs and evaluation boards to support Sales and customers

• Write product documentation and technical Application Notes

• Visiting customers together with Sales for collecting current and future customer 

  requirements to discuss feasibility with IC project managers and IC designers 

• Provide technical trainings to internal and external customers worldwide

Your profile

• Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or equivalent level
• Technical expertise at system and application level in analogue power electronics and hardware design for BLDC/DC motor applications

• Experience with embedded software development for microcontrollers with limited resources

• Hands-on experience in prototyping, soldering and mechanical construction

• Advanced technical knowledge in:

• • Software design for motor control systems or similar power electronics
• • Embedded software development for microcontrollers with limited resources
• • C and Assembler; knowledge of Visual Basic, C++ and/or Python is a plus
  • Creating schematics and PCB layouts preferably with Altium Designer is of advantage

• Proven communication skills in German and English to ensure successful customer support worldwide
