Your future job
As an Applications Engineer at Melexis you will ensure the relevant technical support to Melexis customers in the innovative world of automotive lighting solutions. Your tasks will include the embedded software development as well as all the necessary documentation and supporting tools for automotive interior and exterior lighting designs.
More specifically, you will support the full path from the requirements definition, software design, development and test at customer side, together with the Melexis sales team, design teams and field application engineers.
You will be part of a global business unit team with a strong focus on our customer success and next-generation product developments.
- Design, develop and test software to be embedded in Melexis automotive lighting products.
Document, analyse and review requirements
Prepare high quality documentation with the right balance of efficiency and comprehensiveness to present technical data in a clear way
Collect current and future customer requirements to discuss and include them into future releases
Provide technical support to customers with the industrialization of Melexis automotive lighting products
Make reference designs to support Sales to customers
Provide trainings to internal and external customers
Your profile
You hold a Master degree in Engineering (Electronics, Computer science, Mathematics) and you have a first relevant working experience
You have strong knowledge of C and Assembler development for embedded systems that run real-time interrupt driven applications. You also have knowledge of Python
You have knowledge of digital microcontroller systems and you are capable of writing software that interacts with digital electronics at its lowest level
You have an affinity towards analog/digital electronics
You have proven skills in debugging and verification
Familiarity with software revision control tools and defect tracking tools
Familiarity with modern software development techniques (continuous integration, unit testing, static code analysis etc.)
Familiarity with automotive safety standards (ISO 26262, MISRA, Automotive SPICE etc.) is a plus
Proven communication skills in German and English to ensure successful customer support worldwide
