Your future job

As a Senior Applications Engineer at Melexis you will build strong technical expertise on brushless motor control, both in consumer as well as in automotive applications, and work in close collaboration with the Development organization, and selected lead Customers. You will be part of a global business unit team with a strong focus on our customers' success, and next-generation product development, as the foundation of the product line's growth path. More specifically, you will:

• Define in close collaboration with the development team and selected lead customers, next generation plug and play 1-coil and 3-phase Brushless Motor Controllers
• Define and develop validation setups and customer demo’s, including hardware, as well as software
• Define and analyse comprehensive black box application validation tests on the new released products based on requirements according to the V-diagram
• Produce high-quality reports based on your 360-degree view, with in depth understanding of IC design, Motor operation, and Market/Application, with the right balance between efficiency and the comprehensiveness, needed for decision making
• Support the local customer support teams in Asia, and occasional support customers in Europe and US, both in consumer as well as in the automotive industry
• Generate clear application notes on the products to facilitate the design activities at customers
• Support the Quality department in analyzing the quality problem in the application to get the customer return solved
• Analyze competitor products and patents, and develop the Melexis IP based on understanding of the long term product development roadmap

Your profile

• You hold an Engineering degree in an electronic or microelectronic field with 5+ years of relevant experience
• Advanced technical expertise at the application level
• Good understanding of the functions of the Integrated Circuit (IC) design at block level
• Effective communication skills in English
• Ability to communicate difficult technical issues in a simple and clear way
• Ready for business travel up to 10%
