As a Layout Engineer at Melexis, you will create a set of CAD drawings for physical layers representation of electronic circuits. We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Layout Design Engineer to join our team on a temporary basis as a maternity leave cover. This position offers the possibility of a full-time hire after the maternity leave period, depending on company needs and the candidate's performance. More specifically, you will

• Be responsible for transferring hierarchical schematics into a hierarchical layout on chip, block and cell level with respect to given layout and assembly constraints

• Perform all checks to guarantee a correct implementation of the schematics and to assure compliance with the used technology

• Document your work according to the company quality standards

• Contribute in layout reviews

• Challenge design on implemented schematics

• If you’re working as lead layouter be able to coordinate layout work and balance the workload between different team members accordingly

Your profile

• A bachelor degree in electrical engineering or another relevant field

• Experience in the area of layout creation with the Cadence Design System

• Strong quality mindset

• Effective communication skills in English and German
