Your future job

As a Corporate Tax Manager  you will play a pivotal role in the Melexis finance organisation and will directly report to the CFO. You will be responsible for all corporate income tax matters within the Melexis group. 

More specifically, you will

  • Develop, implement and monitor an efficient corporate tax strategy aligned to the underlying business reality and in line with legal and regulatory requirements

  • Manage the corporate tax compliance and quarterly and year-end tax reporting process for the company group, including the preparation and filing of tax returns, and ensure that all tax obligations are met on time

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive and contemporaneous (transfer pricing) documentation, and ensure that it complies with all relevant tax laws and regulations

  • Conduct tax research and analysis to ensure that the company group is up-to-date on all relevant tax laws and regulations and efficiently embed the outcome thereof in the corporate tax strategy

  • Collaborate with other departments, including HR, legal and R&D, to ensure that corporate tax implications are considered in all business decisions

  • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and auditors, and ensure advisors are held accountable for delivering expected results within contracted fee arrangements

  • Effectively manage tax audits and respond to tax authority inquiries, quantify tax and accounting impact of audit issues raised and bring audits to resolution 

  • Build up internal and external professional networks to identify and lead business opportunity and improvement projects.


Your profile

  • You hold a Master Degree with additional degree in Tax Law. A c

    ertified tax advisor is highly preferred.
  • You have at least 7 to 10 years of experience in international taxation. Experience in consultancy is a plus.

  • In-depth knowledge of Belgian tax laws and regulations and sound knowledge of international corporate tax are a must.

  • Tax accounting proficiencies (IAS12) are expected. 

  • You combine excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact 

    effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • You have strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English, both written and verbal.
