Your future job

One of the main requirements in the IC design for automotive is reliability. All the specification parameters must be guaranteed during the whole product lifetime which can be up to 15 or 20 years. Therefore, this reliability aspect must be considered during the design phase (state of the art design techniques) and also in the simulation phase. A new simulation tool has been introduced to emulate the aging effects and predict the IC lifetime.

(Duration +- 8 weeks)

As an intern in Analog Design, you will

  • Discover and learn an innovative simulation tool which predict the IC lifetime
  • Apply this tool on some existing analog blocks (regulators, opamp, comparators…)
  • Analyze the results and provide some design improvements, with the support from an experienced Analog Designer
  • Adapt the schematic of the block and run a set of simulations to validate these design improvements
  • Document your work (analysis, simulation, proposals…)
  • Share your learnings to the local design group

Project goals

  • Run the aging simulation tool on some existing analog blocks
  • Analyze the results
  • Propose / implement / verify some design changes to improve the overall reliability of analog block

Your profile

  • Self-motivated student, eager to learn and enterprising with strong problem-solving mindset
