More specifically, you will

  • Manage the full employee life cycle, including recruitment, onboarding and offboarding of employees
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on HR-related matters
  • Develop and implement or update HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Ensure an accurate bi-weekly payroll
  • Coordinate benefit programs including, but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, disability, life and health-savings accounts and coordinate the annual Open Enrollment
  • Ensure that applications for immigration and visas are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Assist the employee throughout the immigration procedure. 
  • Maintain accurate HR records and documentation, including employee files, HRIS data, and reports.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure HR processes are efficient and effective.
  • Manage the Facility budget and the different contractors/providers
  • Create Purchase Orders and follow-up on invoices
  • Ensure tax compliance
  • Organize team building activities
  • Ensure a healthy and safe workplace

Your profile

  • 10+ years experience in an HR role with a focus on employee relations, payroll and HR compliance
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations (esp. Michigan and California)
  • Experience with immigration procedures
  • Experience in an international company with a (partially) remote workforce is an asset
  • Autonomous and hands-on with strong problem solving skills
  • Open to travel (approx. 1x quarter to California, 1x year to the headquarters in Belgium)
