Your future mission
As an intern at Melexis, you will design a novel force sensor based on a Hall effect sensor and a magnet in combination with discrete mechanical springs. This can be a Master's thesis or an internship.
More specifically, you will:
Study state of the art in tactile force sensor in robotics and mm-scale springs.
Design, manufacture and optimize a system which a magnet suspended on springs.
Characterize the system and compare it to state of the art performances.
Integrate the sensor in a robotic equipment.

- Live demonstration in a robot
Requirements
Familiarity with integrated sensor and mechanical systems
Data analysis and programming skills (ideally in Python)
Being handy and creative is a plus
