Your future mission

As an intern at Melexis, you will investigate built-in stress sensor in integrated circuit as a way to measure the force applied on the surface of the chip’s package. This can be a Master's thesis or an internship.

More specifically, you will:

  • Study electronics design for piezoresistive stress sensor in-package.

  • Characterize existing stress sensor with regards to the external stimulus.

  • Optimize the design and layout of stress sensor.

Expected results

  • Comparative study of the concept against state-of-the-art technologies
  • Optimized analog design of the stress sensor and final layout
  • Simulation results of the performances of the new design

Requirements

  • Familiarity with integrated sensor and mechanical systems

  • Analog design, simulation and layout skills (with Cadence Virtuoso)

  • Being handy and creative is a plus
