Your future mission

As an intern at Melexis, a leading chip supplier in the automotive and robotics industry, you'll get the chance to explore how the functionality of rotary magnetic position sensors can be extended to multi-turn-counting. You'll gain hands-on experience working with cutting-edge magnetic sensors, and you will contribute to the success of innovative research projects. You'll work in a fully equipped innovation lab, and acquire valuable skills in prototype preparation and characterization.

More specifically, you will:

• Explore different existing solutions for multi-turn counting available on the market.

• Design and implement a multi-turn counting solution using Melexis Triaxis® sensors in the Lab.

• Demonstrate the correct operation and evaluate the limitations.

• Identify and propose optimization opportunities.

Expected results

• A comprehensive report detailing the performance and compatibility with sensor technologies
• Practical recommendations about the advantages and drawbacks of possible solutions for Melexis
• Identification and description of potential technical solutions
• Contributions to potential publications based on your research findings

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of magnetic sensor technologies and familiarity with motion control equipment

• Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Python for data analysis and device control

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills

• Working experience with standard communication protocols (SPI, I2C, SSI etc.) is a plus
