Your future job

As a Shipping and Warehouse Operator at Melexis, you do all the required receiving/shipping/controlling/warehousing operations and activities in order to achieve the manufacturing objectives.

More specifically, you will

  • Do the inbound shipments activities, such as unpacking, inspections, logic unit splits, ERP entry, documentations creation, check and archive, in cooperation with the other departments and escalate in a timely manner to manufacturing planning team lead and shipping scheduler all deviations from timing, quality and quantity perspectives

  • Execute the outbound shipments activities, such as packing, controlling, labeling, documentations generating, ERP entry, organizing forwarder pick-ups, according to Melexis standards and customer specific requirements, in compliance with all relevant legal regulations (e.g. concerning VAT);

  • Escalate in a timely manner to the manufacturing planning team lead and shipping scheduler all deviations from timing, quality and quantity perspectives

  • Be responsible for all required processes for products packing and to ensure that goods are leaving the production area timely, with the required quality and quantity and stored in the warehouse accordingly

  • Take responsibility for the 5S and housekeeping of the  manufacturing goods, equipment and non-manufacturing materials

  • Monitor the proper FIFO usage of all materials; report the stock level of manufacturing materials and trigger the ordering process of manufacturing consumables

  • Provide input in the process of continuous improvement of quality and productivity in order to support cost control and optimal response to customer needs

Your profile

  • (First) experience in a similar position

  • Good skills in MS Office and ERP transaction related to shipping, receiving, invoicing, and general administration

  • Basic working knowledge of EU customs regulations (and local regulations)

  • Basic working knowledge of international transportation rules, tariffs, subcontractors e.g. INCOterms

  • Fluent French and basic understanding/speaking of English
