Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer - Erfurt, Germany
Your future job
A Senior Staff Analog Design Engineer leads the development of high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits from concept to production. This role involves the design planning, transistor-level design, simulation and verifying along with mentoring engineers and providing architectural direction.
More specifically, you will:
- Circuit Implementation: Perform transistor-level design of complex circuits, ensuring adherence to specifications for speed, power, area, and robustness.
- Architecture & Innovation: Define specifications and contribute to top-level architecture, ensuring high-performance analog solutions meet stringent area and power goals.
- Verification & Validation: Lead simulation, verification and reviews including PVT (process, voltage, temperature) simulation to ensure manufacturing yield.
- Layout Supervision: Oversee physical layout, providing direction on floorplanning to minimize parasitic effects.
- Leadership & Collaboration: Drive the technical direction of projects as lead designer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system, digital, test, validation) and mentor team members.
- Post-Silicon Support: Support lab characterization, test, and production ramp-up.
Your profile
- Education & Experience: Typically a Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of industry experience (or equivalent) in CMOS analog design for automotive industry.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of transistor-level circuit design, device physics and layout techniques.
- Tool Proficiency: Extensive experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Hspice, or equivalent simulation tools.
- System Knowledge: Understanding of mixed-signal integration and behavioral modeling (e.g., Matlab).
Preferred Skills: - Proven experience in leading technical projects and influencing design methodology.
- Strong communication skills to present in peer reviews and customer engagements.
