Your future job
As a Direct Procurement Buyer specialising in OSAT (Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test) & Wafer, you will play a pivotal role in managing the procurement process for critical components and services within the semiconductor supply chain. Working closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and engineering teams, you will ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products while optimising costs and maintaining stringent quality standards. Your expertise in negotiating contracts, analysing market trends, and cultivating supplier relationships will be essential in supporting the company's strategic objectives.
More specifically, you will:
- Strategic Sourcing: Develop the strategic approaches for complex and international procurement initiatives / supplier business: organisation of the process, defining the appropriate specific sourcing techniques, business case definition, stakeholders alignment, prepare and execute the needed complex negotiations. Analyse, control and validate the high complex circumstances, e.g. optimization potentials for demands and specifications.
- Market Analysis: Scan the market to keep abreast of technological and market changes, which can also result in opportunities to reduce TCO and implements best practice.
- Cost Management: Develop and implement cost reduction strategies through value engineering, volume leverage, and process improvements while ensuring product quality and reliability.
- Quality Assurance: Enable SQA to establish and enforce rigorous quality standards and performance metrics for OSAT / Wafer suppliers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Assist on the claim procedure (escalation instance) in case of quality, logistic and quantity problems.
- Contract Negotiation: create framework agreements / single contracts with suppliers in cross functional and/or multi-national teams.
- Stakeholder Management: work in cross functional teams with the responsibility for tenders, negotiations and contract closures in close alignment with the internal clients, requiring Stakeholders alignment at the highest level.
- Supplier Relationship Management: Oversee the performance of the current partnerships and ensure that regular business reviews are organised and participate actively to it. Build a strong relationship with internal and external stakeholders based on honesty, credibility and mutual trust, and ensure the effective flow of communication.
- Ensure the compliance with the overall Category / Procurement / Company strategy.
Your profile
- You have a Master’s degree in technical or engineering studies or you have an economics background with strong technical skills.
- You have at least 3 years of experience.
- You are fluent in English.
- You are autonomous, flexible and organised.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Excellent analytical abilities with proficiency in market research, cost analysis, and financial modelling.
