Automate the assembly of ‘Reels’ - Ieper, Belgium
Your future job
As an intern in Automation and Robotics, your mission will be to develop an industrial application ready for production deployment, while ensuring compliance with industrial and safety standards.
Following a feasibility study already carried out, your objective will be to program a collaborative robot (UR3 CB3 model) to perform the assembly of Lokreels using a gripper equipped with three suction cups.
This operation is usually performed by an operator. The assembly is carried out by placing the two Lokreels face to face and then rotating one onto the other until they snap into place.
The objective of the project is to allow operators to focus on higher value-added tasks rather than on the manual assembly of Reels.
More specifically, you will:
- Create an industrial application intended for production by respecting the standards as a certified integrator.
Your profile
- Good robotic and programming skills.
- You enjoy challenges and get inspired by “building” a technical solution.
- You feel comfortable with basic mechanical and electrical design.
- Look for creative and cost-effective solutions.
- You are independent (MLX rules and procedures are limited) and ensure timely open communication with the team.
