Application Engineer, System Integration - Sofia, Bulgaria

 

Your future job

As an Application Engineer with focus on System Integration at Melexis, you will analyze the systems where Melexis silicon solutions are deployed and design and develop software and hardware products that prove correct silicon and software operation. You’ll be part of a collaborative team driven by curiosity, teamwork, and a passion for technology, learning from each other while delivering high-quality solutions for automotive and innovative beyond automotive industries.

More specifically, you will:

  • Analyze how Melexis silicon solutions operate in their systems built by Melexis customers and prove their operation according to the customer and system requirements.
  • Design, develop, and test software and hardware components on and around Melexis products with the purpose of system integration verification.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, including ISO 26262 and ASPICE, while following Melexis’ embedded software development processes and Agile methods.
  • Work with modern tools such as Git, GitLab, Docker/Podman, Robot Framework, MLX16 and ARM compiler, debugger, and simulator.
  • Contribute to decision-making processes related to DevOps and software development and integration verification workflows.

Your profile

  • University degree or equivalent in Engineering, Electronics, Mathematics, Mechatronics or a related field, with a solid understanding of electronics.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering principles.
  • Strong understanding of system verification principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of control systems design and implementation.
  • Strong knowledge of C, and experience with Python or other scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with Linux systems as a development platform.
  • Familiarity with IDEs (Visual Studio Code, Eclipse) and in-circuit debugging tools.
  • Knowledge of motor speed and position control is a bonus.
  • Understanding of digital and analog hardware, including reading, interpreting and developing schematics.
  • Ability to write structured, well-documented code with strong debugging and validation skills.
  • Knowledge of version control, configuration management, and continuous integration tools.
  • Fluency in English.
