Dual Hall-effect latch IC - MLX90224

Product description

The magnetic flux detection is performed through a fast circuitry, featuring a continuous offset cancellation technique (quadrature-spinning current and chopper-stabilized amplifier).

The spacing of the plates is 1.85 mm. The BOP and BRP are temperature-compensated (+500 ppm/DegC). The output refresh rate is 15 us.

The MLX90224-A quadrature outputs are latched on in the presence of a sufficiently strong South pole magnetic flux density (BOP) facing the marked side of the package. Similarly, the output are latched off in the presence of a sufficiently strong North magnetic flux density (BRP).

Dual die concept explained

Product

Melexis announces a range of new magnetic latch and switch sensors that are the first in the world to feature two silicon dice the same package (dual die concept).

Step-by-step guide to Latch & Switch portfolio

How to

During this video, Thomas Strauven, Applications Engineer for Latch & Switch, guides you through the Melexis selection guide for the Latch & Switch portfolio.
