Melexis Bulgaria is currently looking for a highly motivated candidate to fulfil the role of Accountant in its Finance department. If you have a passion for accounting and thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!

More specifically, you will:

• Process and manage incoming vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Review and verify expense reports and prepare for reimbursement.
• Prepare, verify, and issue outgoing invoices and billing statements to customers.
• Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable and accounts receivable data.
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable transactions, monitoring accounts to ensure both payments and collections are up to date.
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies, billing issues, and irregularities for both vendors and customers.
• Maintain updated, accurate, and compliant vendors and customers records.
• Correspond with vendors and customers, responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries related to AP and AR sub-ledgers.
• Ensure monthly review/reconciliations relating to all processed transactions according the global closing schedule.
• Generate regular reports detailing accounts payable and accounts receivable status.

Your profile

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in corporate accounting, transactional finance, or a related operational accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel;
• Experience with accounting ERP software (Oracle) is a plus.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and and collaboratively within a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required
