Melexis NV (Euronext Brussels: MELE) (Melexis or the Company) announces the application of article 7:97 of the Belgian Code on Companies and Associations (BCCA). The procedure was applied in the context of the approval of operational advance payments by its subsidiary, Melexis Technologies NV (Melexis Technologies), to an important supplier.
Sales for the first quarter of 2023 were 228.6 million EUR, an increase of 24% compared to the same quarter of the previous year and an increase of 2% compared to the previous quarter.

Melexis, a global microelectronics engineering company, supplies its unique MLX90632 temperature sensor to Samsung’s Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch5 Pro. The non-contact temperature measurement with enhanced accuracy enables menstrual cycle tracking.
Sales for the full year 2022 were 836.2 million EUR, an increase of 30% compared to the previous year. CEO Marc Biron: “Landing at a 30% sales increase compared with 2021, despite the continued supply constraints, 2022 was once again a record year for Melexis."
Melexis is expanding its facility in Kuching, Malaysia. The project comes with an investment cost of 70 million EUR in the next 5 years. The expansion will be realized with the construction of a new building for probing, shipping, storage and offices.
