Building an AI software factory: agentic tooling for developer productivity
Your future job
AI agents are quickly changing how software is built and run. Our IT team already uses AI assistants in daily development work. The next step is an “AI software factory”, where agents are connected to our internal tools and know our way of working.
The student will look at how AI tooling is used today and what it delivers, find where it can add the most value, and build new agentic tooling for those areas: integrations with internal systems, and reusable knowledge modules for agents. The student will also improve the supporting layer that makes this tooling easy to find, reuse and evaluate.
More specifically, you will:
- Measure current AI tool usage and its impact on productivity
- Identify the most promising workflows to automate or support with AI agents
- Design, build and evaluate new agent integrations and capabilities
- Make the tooling easy to discover, share and maintain across the team
- Measure and report the resulting impact
Your profile
- Student in Bachelor or Master in IT
- Strong interest in AI agents, LLMs and developer tooling
- Minimal: good Python programming skills, familiarity with Git and APIs
- Preferably: first experience with LLM APIs or AI agent frameworks, CI/CD, containers, or basic data analysis
- Comfortable working with technologies such as AI coding agents, MCP, Git and CI/CD, container platforms
