As a Digital Design Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in crafting the digital core of our smart integrated circuits. More specifically, you will:

• Dive into the development of our innovative digital platform: Push the boundaries of what's possible in the semiconductor industry by performing advanced Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL coding for smart automotive sensors and SoC solutions.
• Collaborate with Expert teams: Join forces with our System and component  Architects to seamlessly blend Analog blocks, Digital logic, and Embedded Software, unlocking new dimensions of performance.
• Architect for Excellence: Contribute your expanding expertise to the architectural blueprint based on the product specification. You will leverage your architectural knowledge of microcontrollers, bus systems, complex DFT, and key peripherals to optimize for efficiency, safety, low power, and testability.
• Implement Advanced Safety & Interfaces: Design and integrate critical serial interfaces and implement robust hardware safety mechanisms focused on ISO26262 error detection & correction
• Deliver Impeccable Validation & Verification: Harness your growing prowess in the SystemVerilog version to collaborate closely with verification teams. Explore advanced strategies like scenario building, fault injection to test safety mechanisms, and formal proof to guarantee automotive-grade quality and precision.
• Document, Script, and Support: Utilize scripting languages like Python and TCL to automate front-end implementation tasks and environment setups. Share your knowledge by providing valuable documentation and cross-functional support to our analog, verification, test, and quality teams.

Your profile

• Engineering Master's Degree or PhD: You bring the educational firepower required, with a strong academic foundation in microelectronics, electrical engineering, or computer engineering.
• Relevant experience in IC/FPGA Design and a strong, proactive willingness to rapidly strengthen your digital design expertise.
• Design Concepts and Simulations: You have a solid, hands-on grasp of digital design principles such as RTL coding, and simulation flows.
• Effective Communicator: You can clearly articulate technical ideas, design trade-offs, and debug anomalies.
• Team Player: You thrive in a cross-country, multicultural, team-oriented environment, leveraging your analytical skills to drive collective innovation.
• Tech Enthusiast: You actively seek to stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in digital design. At Melexis, your passion is supported—you will have opportunities to contribute to technical exhibitions, IEEE articles, and patents.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken).
