The Application Engineer is responsible for driving technical adoption and supporting commercial adoption of the HV SiRC Snubber technology.

Shanghai, China

Your responsibilities are:
Technical Engineering
Deep understanding of the Melexis proprietary SiRC Snubber technology, including its architecture, functionalities, and limitations
Ability to characterize the HV SiRC Snubber technology in various application scenarios, including different power levels, switching frequencies and environmental conditions. Define, plan, and execute a comprehensive and application-focused characterization campaign for High-Voltage SiRC Snubber technology.
Provide application support to customers
Contact window to foundry on the technical performance of the SiRC technology Serve as the contact for suppliers, managing inquiries and feedback regarding the technical performance of SiRC technology.
Support to define the necessary Production Test strategies to ensure the Snubber portfolio meets its performance targets and reliability standards
Knowledge in key applications such as traction inverters, solar inverters, power conversion systems (PCS) of energy storage systems (ESS), and relevant applications is preferred.
Be able to perform some key tests such as performance, switching behaviors and power losses on power semiconductors.

Marketing 
Support to define and implement Strategy of Power Module Application with current sensor and Snubber
Strong understanding of the target markets for the Snubber, including specific customer needs and pain points
Gather and analyze application requirements, particularly in the high-voltage application space. Ability to translate the technical features of the Snubber into quantifiable value propositions for customers, such as improved efficiency, reduced EMI, or increased reliability
Develop marketing materials and technical documentation that effectively communicate the benefits of the Snubber to potential customers

Go-to-Market Activities
Assist to position the product in the market.
Develop strong collateral material to support sales and marketing efforts.
Demonstrate technical expertise to internal and external stakeholders.
Close collaboration with sales to drive the adoption of the Snubber in key customer applications

Your profile
5+ years working experience in power electronics and related industries. Knowledge in current sensor principle and application are preferred. 
Fluent oral and written English. 
Master's degree in physics and/or engineering (or any of the STEM fields) and bring a strong technical background.
Strongly passionate about technology.  
Experienced cross-function/international communication skills. 
Good with data analysis. 
Can-do attitude and result driven. 
Team player, cooperative. 
Hard working and independent working.  Able to work under pressure and challenge.
Open for traveling, ~30% .
