What we need:

We are looking for a motivated student developer who is experienced in:

• Excel macros (VBA)
• Python (including working with Excel files via libraries such as pandas, openpyxl, etc.)

The project:

We currently have a business-critical Excel macro that needs to be converted into a reliable, maintainable Python script.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Analyzing the current macro and understanding its logic.
• Rewriting the macro functionality using Python.
• Testing and validating the new Python solution to ensure it meets the original requirements.
• Documenting the new solution clearly.
• Providing training to the future users of the new tool, so they can work confidently with the new Python-based setup.

Your profile

• Good understanding of Excel and macros (VBA)
• Solid Python skills, especially related to data processing
• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
• Independent and proactive mindset
• Fluency in English (Dutch is a plus but not required)
• Working in DAY shift in our IEPER location - 2 or 3 months during summer
