Process and Equipment Engineer - Sofia, Bulgaria
Your future job
As a Process and Equipment Engineer at Melexis, you will lead projects/activities related to the development of new processes, improvements, release of manufacturing equipment, tools (hardware, software), processes in-house or with subcontractors.
More specifically, you will:
- Plan, perform engineering tests, and use advanced statistical and scientific methods to address and assure process performance. Lead prototyping, characterization, and verification of defined Process or equipment parameters to ensure the defined process specifications are met.
- Collect information from internal and external customers for the needed developments and improvements in order to reach targets as set in the process roadmap.
- Perform the feasibility and the concept design, including subcontractor selection and risk assessment (PFMEA), in order to assess the selected solutions for their relevance and their adequacy versus existing and future Melexis needs.
- Ensure the transfer to production according to Melexis rules, and conduct initial training to enable manufacturing to be self-sufficient. Provides needed procedures as basic for work, calibration, and maintenance instructions.
- Conduct regular review meetings (external and internal), ensuring all risks, issues, actions, and dependencies are clearly documented, communicated, and understood.
- Support manufacturing beyond the process release to achieve the target process KPIs.
- Coach Process and Equipment Specialists and Assistants in order to increase technical competencies.
Your profile
- University Degree in electronics, automation, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, physics, or similar.
- 2+ years of previous relevant experience (e.g., in process development, industrialization, manufacturing automation, and solutions ).
- Very good statistics skills; knowledge of/familiar with Process control techniques, SPC, Measurement system analysis, DOE.
- Risk assessment technique and DFMEA/PFMEA.
- Good project management skills.
- Able to create and deploy work, calibration, and maintenance instructions.
- Ability to develop and validate part of the process by using software and/or hardware development.
- Good understanding of the development process and equipment release criteria of a dedicated measurement system.
- Fluency in English with excellent communication skills.
