The Regional Leader for People & Culture for Europe and North America works with his/her country teams to translate global HR strategies into effective local practices and addresses the unique people challenges and opportunities within the European and North America region.
The Regional P&C Leader is a senior operational P&C leader with strong international experience that can think strategically and act operational. He/she is passionate about coaching his/her team of Country P&C managers towards P&C excellence and -as part of the Global P&C Leadership team- ensures the regional interests and needs are well represented towards the Center of Excellences and the global strategic P&C approach is well communicated within the regions.
More specifically, you will:
- Lead the localization of Global strategy, policies and programs within the region (e.g., compensation frameworks, performance management, talent development initiatives) and adapt them to fit the specific legal, cultural, economic, and market conditions of their region. This ensures compliance, relevance, and effectiveness locally.
- Strategic regional workforce planning - responsible for understanding the talent landscape, labor market trends, and skill gaps within his/her region. He/She strategically plans for future workforce needs, including talent acquisition, development, and retention, to support regional business growth and objectives.
- Leads & coordinates local P&C teams towards excellence across the region in all P&C related services and processes. Provides guidance and resolves escalated conflicts.
- Ensures compliance with local rules and regulations and highest ethical standards within the region.
- Ensures regional representation within the Global P&C team.
- Coordinates & executes locally global P&C calendar across their region.
- Flags country/regional issues to the relevant Strategic P&C BP's or COE leads as appropriate.
- Contributes to global P&C projects through flagging, educating & raising awareness on cultural & legal differences.
Your profile
- Ideally Masters degree with minimum 15 years of working experience.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams with a servant leadership approach and coaching mindset.
- Strong European generalist HR experience. Experience with North America is a plus.
- Strong knowledge of the general European legal framework. Notions of the North American legal frame is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills, and good at objective decision making.
- Able to take a step back and coach the team root cause analysis.
- Resilient and able to bring focus.
- Great communication skills across all levels of stakeholders.
- Well organized, analytical and results oriented.
- Strong ownership and proactive mindset.
- Experience working in a global company, ideally engineering driven.
