(Associate) Hardware Equipment Specialist - Ieper, Belgium
Your future job
As an (Associate) Equipment Specialist within our Process & Equipment Engineering hardware team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our critical test solution hardware. Your work will directly impact production continuity.
- Maintenance & Repair: Perform comprehensive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on test solution hardware (probe cards, contactors, load boards, handler boards, etc.) using work instructions, checklists, and problem-solving techniques.
- Equipment Deployment: Install and release duplicate equipment for production use.
- Problem Resolution: Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve hardware issues, ensuring quality-driven solutions.
- Supply Chain Coordination: Manage basic ordering activities, including coordinating with suppliers, to ensure timely availability of components.
- Documentation & Training: Develop and maintain accurate documentation, work instructions, and contribute to team training initiatives.
- Inventory Management: Implement and manage inventory control systems to forecast needs, optimize costs, and ensure component availability.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze historical data to identify and implement improvements that prevent recurring issues.
- Technical Understanding: Read and interpret technical schematics and drawings.
Your profile
- Technical Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical experience.
- Proven experience in hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
- Strong understanding of test solution hardware (probe cards, contactors, load boards, handler boards).
- Soldering proficiency and experience with component repair/replacement.
- Knowledge of ESD precautions and warranty management.
- Familiarity with manufacturing data processing/monitoring systems.
- Experience with hardware installation, upgrades, and issue investigation.
- Proficiency in reading technical schematics and drawings.
- Strong computer literacy (MS Office, ERP; Altium experience a plus).
- Analytical and logical problem-solving skills.
- Strong reporting and communication skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Meticulous attention to detail and patience.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Able to work in dayshift or early/late.
