Embedded Systems Project Manager – Sense and Drive Motor Driver IC’s - Tessenderlo-Ham, Belgium

 

Your future job

As an Embedded Systems Project Manager you will lead the development, implementation and bring to the market of mechatronics embedded systems. 

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead and oversee the full project lifecycle for mechatronics and embedded systems, from conception to market introduction.
  • Define and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, resource allocation, schedule, and budget management.
  • Act as the primary technical interface for customers, ensuring system requirements are accurately captured, validated, and aligned with project objectives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between hardware design, software development, and application engineering teams.
  • Ensure all project deliverables strictly adhere to automotive industry standards and quality processes, including ISO 26262 and ASPICE.
  • Proactively identify project risks, dependencies, and technical bottlenecks, implementing effective mitigation strategies to keep development on track.
  • Monitor project performance and quality metrics, ensuring the final integrated solution meets both internal benchmarks and customer expectations.
  • Facilitate clear communication across all project stakeholders, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and key milestones.

Your profile

  • An engineering master's degree in an electronic or microelectronic or computer sciences field
  • More than 10 years of experience in the embedded systems industry
  • Good understanding of complex HW and SW systems  and the functions of the Integrated Circuit (IC) design at a block level
  • Advanced technical expertise at the system and application level
  • Project leadership and technical coaching
  • Strong customer focus and a results-oriented approach
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Willingness to travel frequently (20%)
