Melexis Bulgaria is currently looking for a highly motivated candidate to fulfil the role of Accounts Payable Accountant in its Finance department. If you have a passion for accounting and thrive in a dynamic environment, we'd love to hear from you!
More specifically, you will:
- Process and manage vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review and verify expense reports and prepare for reimbursement.
- Perform day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.
- Reconcile accounts payable transactions and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date.
- Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues.
- Maintain updated and accurate vendor files and records.
- Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries promptly.
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries related to accounts payable.
- Ensure monthly review/reconciliations relating to all processed transactions according the global closing schedule.
- Generate reports detailing accounts payable status.
Your profile
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounts payable or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel;
- Experience with accounting ERP software (Oracle) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal, is required
