Embedded Systems Product Manager – Sense and Drive Motor Driver IC’s - Tessenderlo-Ham, Belgium

Your future job

We are seeking a visionary and technically brilliant Senior Technical Product Manager to drive the definition, strategy, and execution of our next-generation Sense and Drive Motor Driver Solution ICs. In this role, you will sit at the intersection of engineering, marketing, and sales, transforming complex market needs into high-performance, integrated silicon solutions.
You will own the product lifecycle from cradle to grave for our motor control portfolios (including BLDC, PMSM, and stepper motor drivers integrating advanced current/position sensing). If you have a passion for electrification, robotics, e-bikes, or automotive actuation systems, and possess the technical gravitas to debate architecture with design engineers and value propositions with C-level clients, we want you on our team.

More specifically, you will:

  • Define the multi-year product roadmap for the Sense and Drive Motor Driver portfolio, aligning with global trends like automotive electrification (xEV), industrial automation, and smart robotics.
  • Conduct deep-dive market research, competitive analysis, and macro-economic trend mapping to identify new product vectors.
  • Author comprehensive Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs) and Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) with clear technical trade-offs (e.g., RDS(on), thermal dissipation, functional safety, and integration levels).
  • Partner closely with IC Design, System Architecture, and Applications Engineering teams to evaluate silicon feasibility, gate-driver topologies, and sensing methodologies (e.g., shunt-based, magnetic, or inductive sensing).
  • Champion Functional Safety (ISO 26262 / ASIL standards) and reliability requirements (AEC-Q100) from product inception.
  • Work with software and tools teams to ensure a seamless "out-of-box" evaluation experience for customers (EVMs, GUI tools, and reference designs).
  • Own the business case for new product introductions (NPIs), including pricing strategy, gross margin analysis, and ROI.
  • Develop technical marketing collateral, including data sheets, application notes, competitive battle cards, and product training for global sales and field application engineers (FAEs).
  • Engage directly with lead customers (Tier 1 automotive suppliers and major industrial OEMs) to secure early design-ins and alpha partnerships.

Your profile

  • Education: Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field. An MBA or PhD’s in Engineering is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, with at least 4+ years acting as a Product Manager, Systems Engineer, Embedded Software Solutions Manager, or Technical Marketing Manager.
  • Domain Expertise: Proven track record with motor driver ICs (Gate Drivers, Integrated Bridges, MOSFET/IGBT solutions) and/or sensing ICs (Current Sensors, Position Sensors).
  • Strong understanding of motor control algorithms (FOC, trapezoidal) and power electronics principles.
  • Strong understanding in complex layered embedded software architectures, quality standards and processes (ASPICE, CMM, ASIL), and efficient development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with automotive and industrial qualification standards (AEC-Q100, ISO 26262, IEC 61508).
  • Ability to interpret circuit schematics, block diagrams, and semiconductor fabrication capabilities.
  • The Translator: Exceptional ability to translate ambiguous customer pain points into crisp, actionable engineering requirements.
  • The Influencer: Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional, matrixed teams without direct authority.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills—comfortable presenting to both silicon design experts and executive stakeholders.

We offer

  • A challenging job in a dynamic high-tech international environment
  • The opportunity to take ownership of your professional passion in order to contribute to the success of the company
  • An enjoyable, team-oriented and professional atmosphere in a flat-structured organization
  • Versatile development opportunities
