As a Layout Engineer at Melexis, you will transform electronic schematics into physical integrated circuit (IC) layouts, ensuring they meet design, verification, and manufacturing requirements.

More specifically, you will:

• Be responsible for transferring hierarchical schematics into IC layout: CAD drawings, containing physical layers representation of electronic circuit
• Perform all checks to guarantee a correct implementation of the layout according to the schematics (LVS) and to assure compliance with the used technology (DRC)
• Create a floorplan of the block/full chip level layout to fit the given layout and assembly constraints
• Document full chip layout implementation according to the company process flow
• Perform block/full chip level layout review

Your profile

• University degree in Electronics, Microelectronics, Applied Physics, or a related field
• Relevant previous professional experience/knowledge in reading and understanding schematics, using CAD tools for block/full-chip layout implementation, debugging layouts, performing layout verifications, knowledge of layout parasitics, basic digital place-and-route techniques, and power and ground routing
• Creative problem-solving attitude with good attention to detail
• Self-disciplined person with strong geometric thinking and logical reasoning
• Proactive team player who can easily adapt to a changing environment
• Fluency in English with good communication skills
• Willingness to work in international teams
