Triaxis® resolver - MLX91204

Product description

The MLX91204 is a monolithic Triaxis® resolver reporting fast analog sine and cosine signals for the in-plane components (Bx and By) of the magnetic flux density from a magnet rotating above the device surface (end-of-shaft magnet).

The in-plane components are measured thanks to the integrated magneto concentrator (IMC®) placed above a constellation of Hall-effect sensitive spots (Hall plates).

The absolute angular position of the magnet can be derived from the sine and cosine signals through appropriate off-chip signal processing (resolver-to-digital converter).

The high-bandwidth of the MLX91204 makes it very suitable for motor position sensor typically required in advanced commutation techniques (e.g. field-oriented-commutation…).

The sensitivity is factory-programmed and several versions are available.
The MLX91204 has a very stable thermal compensation for both the sensitivity and the Voq over a broad temperature range.
