The MLX91804 sets new standards for integration, system foot print and micro-power operation. It is a complete system in package solution for tire pressure monitoring systems (TPMS) that combines pressure, 2-axis acceleration, voltage and temperature sensors together with an RF radio and a powerful 16-bit RISC-based microcontroller.

The product has been designed specifically to improve system SWaP (Size, Weight and Power) performance. Housed in a tiny 14-pin wettable flanks DFN package requiring a mere 20 mm² floor area, this new product is 60% smaller than existing solutions.

In addition to its small size, the MLX91804 establishes a new benchmark for current consumption helping system designers squeeze even more operating lifetime from small form factor batteries and harvested energy sources.

The MLX91804 offers 16-bit RISC processing coupled with 16 kB of flash memory code space to accommodate sophisticated TPMS algorithms. The product has been developed mindful of next generation smart tire and tire mounted applications. Standard operating temperature range for this part is -40 °C to 125 °C.
