Dual Hall-effect latch IC for window lift - MLX92256

Product description

The MLX92256 integrates a voltage regulator, two Hall sensors (one with IMC) both with advanced offset cancellation system and two open-drain output drivers, all in a single package.

Two Hall plates are integrated on the same piece of silicon, thanks to the IMC technology the MLX92256 is pitch free. This is achieved by combining perpendicular and lateral fields.

The MLX92256 is available in two versions. MLX92256LSE-AAA-000 which is offering a pulse and a direction signal. The pulse signal will toggle when there is a change in lateral or vertical component while the direction pin will only change in case of a change in direction. The MLX92256LSE-ABA-000 is equipped with two speed outputs, one for the perpendicular field and one for the lateral field.

With latching magnetic characteristics, the speed (SP) output is turned low or high respectively with a sufficiently strong South or North pole facing the package top side. When removing the magnetic field, the device keeps its previous state.

The direction (DIR) output is latched in low or high state depending on the movement direction of the applied magnetic field, as a result of certain magnetic pulse sequence on both Hall sensors.

The MLX92256 is delivered in a Green compliant 6-pin SOT for surface-mount process.
